This year the Texas State Fair runs from September 29th to October 22nd at Fair Park located in Sunny South Dallas. Season passes are available for $50, discount tickets are available for as low as $10. Make sure you get a selfie with Big Tex, try the fried Oreos, and support the local vendors. The City of Desoto is hosting its annual "October Fun Fest" on Halloween night, Tuesday October 31st. The event will run from 6 to 8PM, is for ages 14 and under, and will be held at the Desoto Recreation Center located at 211 E. Pleasant Run Road. There will be food trucks, games, candy, bounce houses, laser tag and more. Its FREE to enter, however some of the games have additional costs. This is the family friendly fun event for Desoto.
