The citizens of Desoto have spoken, and the city leaders have listened. One of the constants that we hear from the residents are better dining options, more entertainment alternatives, and a 5-star hotel. Fortunately, developers have decided to give the people what they want. The old Magnuson Grand Hotel at the corner of I-35 and Wintergreen will be redeveloped into a luxury boutique under the Radisson brand.
According to this article from the Desoto Area Chamber of Commerce change is on the horizon. "Most recently operated as a Magnuson Grand hotel, the new Radisson will have 148 rooms, including two-story suites with personal indoor balconies. Guest amenities include a bar, private wine room, Italian coffee shop, indoor pool, a kids zone with an arcade area, a plethora of meeting space, a library area, an atrium lounge space and an expansive outdoor patio."
The interior design is crafted by the renowned Pickard Design Studio and the exterior renovations will be reimagined by Goree Architects of Houston, TX.
