We officially have 12 days until Christmas! I don't have a partridge and a pear tree, but I do have several local, affordable, and sometimes FREE options for you and your family to celebrate the holiday season.
In the City of Cedar Hill you have several options:
Get your holiday outfits together and line up the kids, loved ones, and fur babies. Once your photo ready check the link for the schedule for Pics with Santa. Make your way to Hillside Village, suite 406, (next to Razzo's) and make memories that will last forever.
Next up on December 21st, from 6:30 to 8PM, there is a live concert with the Texas Guitar Society. Come to the Cedar Hill Government Center for the free concert and show up early for the reception and the cookies.
Finally, on December 23rd, at 6PM bring your blanket and chairs for an outdoor movie night. Omni Fellowship will be screening a showing of The Nativity Story. Bring your own hot chocolate and they'll provide the popcorn.
In the City of DeSoto you also have several options:
Desoto is doing something that's never been done before in Southern Dallas County. Desoto on Ice is your opportunity to try the seasonal ice-skating rink. For $15 you get skate rental and the opportunity to impress or fall on your tush, depending upon your skill level. Desoto on Ice is located at Desoto Town Center and runs through January 7th.
And to wrap up the season the 3rd Annual Christmas Musical will take place at 7PM on December 23rd at the Desoto Corner Theater located at 211 E. Pleasant Run Road. Join us as we celebrate the holiday season with an incredible live Christmas Musical. This event will feature local artists from the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. Bring in the Holiday Cheer with your family and friends.
